During the period between Cobain's disappearance and the April 8, discovery of his body, Grant recorded many of the conversations he had with Courtney Love. These are only samples of the recordings Tom Grant has made before Kurt was found and after. Grant promises to deliver the recordings to the proper authorities when the case will be reopened.
“From the beginning of our conversations with Courtney she was telling us things that were just not consistent,” says Grant. That's why we decided to digg deeper into this investigation and record every conversation with Courtney. She told Grant that “Kurt had no money and no access to money” “Whenever someone is missing and there’s a bunch of lies being thrown around and stories being planted in the press a lot of red flags start popping up,” Grant explained.
Grant found out that it was actually Courtney Love who filed for the missing persons report and not his mother. “I have a tape recorded phone conversation between Courtney and I where she admits she was the one who filed that report.”
Courtney admits she was the one who called in the missing person's report, instead of Kurt's mother as was said by the media.
The benefit of putting in that report is that it allowed her to give “the narrative of the body”, Grant said. “It was a perfect set up for the police.” He also claims that Courtney had something to do with the note that was found near Cobain’s body.
Grant: “I suspected something was wrong with the note.”
Telephone Taped Conversations
Tom Grant was a private investigator in 1994 who was hired by Courtney Love, first, because Courtney filed a missing persons report as she said Kurt was missing and Grant became suspicious right away, he started to record their telephone conversations investigating the death of Kurt Cobain, the lead singer and guitarist of the most beautiful band that ever existited: Nirvana.
Cobain's death in 1994 was officially ruled a suicide, but there always have been rumours and loads of fans and people who knew him or thought differently about the case, thinking he was murdered. Those rumours have only grown over the years.
Below are the recorded telephone conversations between Courtney Love, Cobain's wife, and Tom Grant. In these tapped conversations, Love discussed details that raised suspicions about Cobain's death.
These short recordings are cuts (there are longer conversations on the internet?) as the orginal files took to much memory and available server space but be aware of the time factor as explained below.
Before and After
All "BEF" files come from interviews and conversations which occurred during the week prior to April 8th, BEFORE anyone allegedly knew Kurt Cobain was dead.
All "AFT" files come from interviews and conversations which occurred AFTER Kurt's body was discovered on April 8th.
The orginal source of these files you can find on: https://cobaincase.com/tapedcalls.html
Notes: Detective Antonio Terry was connected to Courtney Love and worked for her. He died on 6/4/1994
Narcotics Detective Terry was murdered. He's the first Seattle police officer to be killed in nine years. On June 4th, 1994, off duty, Terry was driving home from work dressed in plain clothes. Apon driving off the interstate ramp, he noticed four young men waving for him to stop. Their car was apparently broken down. As Terry stopped in his unmarked car to help, it was claimed that he approached the four young men with a gun demanding why they waved him over. It was then that an argument and gun battle ensued. Terry was shot and managed to drive himself to the South Precinct two miles away. Three hours later, he was pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center.
Even though reports on this case are scetchy and doesn't appear to be linked to Kurt's case, it's quite a coincidence. Courtney Love has been in prior contact with Detective Terry on several occasions, to often bust her 'drug buddies' and during the time Kurt was missing, once using the car phone in Grant's presence. It is no secret that they were friends. The false missing persons report that Courtney called in claiming to be Kurt's mother, also has a footnote stating, "Det. Terry SPD/Narcotics has further info".
